The answer is “yes”, God cares about family and cares about you! Take time to pray and give thanks for the blessings of being part of God’s Family.
The pandemic has proven that family is vital to our happiness. Before March, it was easy to visit friends and relatives whenever and however we wanted. Covid-19 has changed all that. The good news is that we are growing closer because we now treasure being together, if not in person, by video chat ,phone call or card in the mail. We no longer take the blessing of getting together for granted. Covid-19 cannot and will not destroy our love for each other and death cannot seperate us from the love of God and love of those who have entered into eternal life before us. For centuries God has helped those who believe, trust and have faith that he will take care of his family, even when he seems invisible. God is active in our lives today and nature around us.
We are citizens of a world filled with unrest and chaos. Appalling events and disease are all around us and we must stand strong in our faith. God is with us. God has never failed us and includes us in his family as beloved children. Let’s claim our heritage and praise God that we are family together in all things.
There is truly victory in Jesus!
I write this Faith Break for the Kernel in memory of members of our personal and extended family we call God’s family. Especially for my sister Mary Ellen who entered the kingdom long before the pandemic but was an example of someone who had great faith, trust and love for God. Please take a moment to comment on someone in God’s family today and yesterday who also are examples for you. We can lean on all of them to help us keep the faith!
